Stayed over the Oct long weekend. The staff are really 5 star. So friendly and helpful from the reception to the room team. The hotel is a little worn around the edges but the linen is spotless and the beds super comfortable. The additional touches like evening wine tasting, breakfast coffee and apples all day just make it feel so welcoming. And the location is outstanding with beach less than 100 metres outside the front doors. And the location means you don't get too much noise at night. It's the second time we have stayed with Waves and will definitely be back.

The staff at Waves were in incredibly accommodating - we needed to check in early to get ready for a wedding in Byron. The staff were so accommodating with this to the point that they sent us a text message as soon as the room was ready, well before the 2pm stated check in time. The spacious, well equipped rooms and free parking and amazing location were all a bonus! We will definitely be back.

Was hesitant to leave a review because I know how this can negatively impact business but we left two messages at reception and a follow up email on departure to hotel management and still no response. When we checked in there were toe nail clippings on our bedside table. There is nothing more disgusting than someone else’s toenails on your bedside table upon checkin for a weekend away. Left us questioning the cleanliness of our whole room. Location is great but other than that we wouldn’t return.

Amazing place and even better location. Beautiful room and Bronywn at the front desk is lovely- super helpful and the complimentary breakfast snacks and wine at night was a great touch. Will definitely stay here again

We recently visited Byron Bay for a nice week away. I’ve stayed at Waves a few times now and have always stayed here. The rooms are a great size. We had room 2, a ground floor room. The bathroom is a great size too. The location of the hotel itself is as good as you can get without paying too much. A short 5 minute walk to the main shopping and restraint precinct and a couple of hundred metres to the beach. Underground secure car parking is also a feature if you have a car. Whilst our stay was disrupted by the air con system breaking down, the staff were extremely helpful and assisted us immediately. We were transferred to one of the penthouse suites for the night. We were very thankful. Overall, our stay was very enjoyable and will be back.

Very conveniently located hotel. Our room was clean and serviced daily and all staff were friendly. Liked the muffins and coffee offer as well as the wine tasting on weekends. Will definitely recommend.
